Quanta's Leadership Energy ‘Video’
|
|
|
Quanta has customised a Leadership Energy assessment tool, employing a 360 degree approach,
to assess each leader’s energy level and unique behavioural ‘DNA’. This instrument views a
leader as a dynamic system – an energy generator – and assesses key elements of personal,
interpersonal and impact energy. Our goal is to both increase the leader’s energy and re-engineer
the ‘DNA’ so as to move leaders into Quadrant Four – see below – the zone of real passion that
combines superb business skills with the ability to truly inspire people.
Organisations that have strong leaders in this quadrant will evolve a ‘DNA’ with
explosive potential and a real competitive advantage under all business conditions.
Generally leaders and their organisations, without external intervention, will strive for
and maintain an equilibrium position within this Quanta Energy Matrix. In many instances this
position is governed by a series of unconscious or meta-rules which paradoxically may not align
at all with the stated vision and strategy of the organisation.
Quadrant One has low and negative energy. Here there is no trust or loyalty.
There is a fear culture and little performance. This quadrant reflects the
‘whipped puppy’ syndrome.
Quadrant Two has positive but low energy, but nothing really happens here either.
There is no consequence for non-performance, but employees at least have a good time
doing very little! Typically inefficient monopolies and some government
departments may be found here. This is the zone of ‘comfort’ and ‘complacency.’
Quadrant Three has high but negative energy and knows how to make things happen, but in
spite of and not because of the way employees are treated. Here employees do things because
they have to, not because they want to. Here leaders are efficient, but dictatorial,
autocratic and sometimes aggressive. Here employees are generally angry, resentful and not
really loyal to the organisation. In the long-term, good employees leave. Typically
organisations that chase sales and revenue at all costs at the expense of developing
employee potential, land up here. Declining profitability and market share can
easily follow.
Quadrant Four is the ideal quadrant for high energy leaders that deliver
sustainable results. These leaders are best described as dynamic optimists
that show real passion in all that they do.
Apart from the customised questions contained in this leadership energy instrument
Quanta has incorporated certain unique features such as Quanta Fuzzy Logic Assessment™
which measures the variability in leadership behaviour and temperament, the Energy
Transformation Index which shows whether the leader is draining or injecting energy
from or into the system, plus a comprehensive set of graphs and tables, providing
a detailed ‘video’ of all the strengths and possible weaknesses of each
leader’s ‘swing’.
