The following matrix shows the position of the organisation relative to its energy level and its
Energy Transformation Index. The goal is to maintain a position in Quadrant Four where there is
high energy – passion, focus, motivation and determination – and a net inflow of system energy.
This positive mix of energy and ETI is likely to generate superior performance and sustainable growth.
The example below shows a company with an average energy level of 68.99% but with a negative ETI,
which predicts that overall the system is losing energy. This is a powerful lead indicator for
the CEO who is serious about pre-empting financial decline.
The graph also highlights the ETI of each energy factor. The areas where energy is being
injected are highlighted in red, and the areas where there is an energy loss are highlighted in blue.
