Quanta is an organisation consultancy that specialises in increasing leadership
and employee energy within organisations. We measure the success of our
interventions in terms of the impact on key outputs such as customer
satisfaction and profitability.
On all our projects we use the following Quanta Energy Model™ as the framework
for our interventions.
The above energy model shows leadership energy as the primary driver of system
energy. Every organisation operates as a dynamic system that can either gain or
lose energy over time. Our research shows that leadership or leadership ‘DNA’
is the primary determinant of both the flow of energy in organisations and the
actual level of energy in each organisation. If you increase the leadership
energy through a change to the ‘DNA’ you automatically increase both the flow
of energy and the energy level at system equilibrium.
The natural consequence of this incre ase in energy is an automatic increase in
customer service and profitability.
Quanta’s view at a systemic level is that organisations are not really driven
as much by vision and strategy as by leadership energy and leadership ‘DNA’.
Rather, real vision and strategy are more a consequence than a precursor of
leadership energy.
Dynamic organisations, viewed as ‘mini-universes’ that may expand or contract
over time, will find a comfort level – or dynamic equilibrium – that is driven
by the muscle memory of the system. In such a system the meta-rule of the
organisation will drive leaders to continually inject sufficient energy only to
replace the energy lost to entropy – but no more and no less. This explains to
us why high-energy systems such as Ferrari and low energy systems such as the
Post Office can both be as successful in terms of their ability to survive over
time through retaining system equilibrium.
In general however, higher energy organisations have more motivated employees,
more loyal customers, enjoy greater and more sustainable success, and are more
profitable than lower energy organisations. At a systemic level every
organisation enjoys a unique ‘DNA’ each with its own destiny. Change the DNA
however and you change the organisational destiny.
Our role is to help organisations achieve their visions and goals through
introducing a real and practical shift in the leadership and organisational
‘DNA’ and attendant energy levels.
We bring about this ‘DNA’ change through a combination of customised leadership
and organisational energy assessments and interventions.
Below is an example showing the shift of sixty leaders in a global
company over a six-month period during 2004. Of real significance is the fifty
percent increase in the number of leaders in the high energy Quadrant Four. All
leaders in this project were assessed at both the beginning and end of the
project, attended four workshops, completed the Quanta Leadership Energy
modules, and received on-line energy coaching from Quanta.
